This is my web page from the days when I was a Ph.D. student
in the Programming Methodology Group
at the MIT Laboratory of Computer Science.
Work
I do research, design, and implementation of sophisticated software systems,
especially those involving distributed systems, storage, networking,
fault tolerance, transactions, and security.
My publications.
Arts
I dabble in graphic design.
I also sketch portraits.
Writing
I used to write short poems,
usually when I got the blues. Read at your own risk.
I was the co-editor of Patrika, the
newsletter of the Indian students at MIT, in 1995-1996.
Puzzles
I collect and generate puzzles related to the sciences and math,
especially those that are visible in our mundane lives
yet are ignored or taken for granted.
I have a bunch in an MS Outlook folder that I will move
here some day.
